This is a really interesting way for Iran to respond. It's sortof sad that I would dismiss this possibility out of hand.

However, I'll say it publicly: I will RESPECT Bush if he takes this opportunity. If Bush goes to Iran and engages THEIR wealthy, educated population in a public discussion... If it is intellectually honest, if the audience isn't stacked one way or the other... I will simply be blown away.

I don't know if anyone is listening, but I'm putting this out there. If Bush JUST VISITS for a forum similar to Columbia University's, then I will be forced to consider these facts in the future when I am critical of the W Bush administration.

Hear that? It will be trickier to be critical of Bush if he legitimately opts for a democratic gesture towards Iran.

I have a specific proposal: that this forum should be hosted in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Education_City" rel="nofollow">Education City, Qatar</a>.
